Our Vocational Program run throughout the day, with morning and afternoon sessions available. Our aim is to increase independence of our students in areas of daily living, including self-care, socialization and interaction within the community. The program is lead by a team of qualified therapists.
Students learn about self care, hygiene, health and personal well being, personal safety, home living skills inclusive of food and clothes shopping, preparing meals, and managing finances inclusive of using money in the natural environment.
Community and natural environment learning is an essential part of the program, and frequent community outings are arranged. Trips might be to the local supermarket to purchase products for meal preparation, shopping malls, coffee shops and restaurants. This program provides the opportunity for our students to have the skills, knowledge and experience to become as independent as possible and successfully integrated into their community.
The Vocational program is suitable for students aged 9 – adulthood.
